Make a break for it! Plan your long weekend getaway and take a little detour – just 30 minutes from Melbourne.

 

Take a moment to reflect
If you’d like to take a moment on ANZAC Day to reflect and commemorate our veterans who have served and are serving now, you can do so at the War Memorial in Werribee City Centre. This cenotaph was unveiled in 1920 and remains an important site for community gatherings and commemoration.

On ANZAC Day, Friday 25 April 2025, the Werribee RSL will hold a Dawn Service. Public viewing will be at Station Place on the intersection between Duncans Road and Watton Street.

Explore Werribee Park Mansion
Explore the stunning interiors of Werribee Park Mansion and listen to the stories of this grand old building with an audio tour. Take time to explore the grounds including the original farm buildings and heritage orchard. Werribee Park Mansion is open throughout the long weekend including ANZAC Day from 10am - 5pm.

Come and see the Elephants at Werribee Open Range Zoo
Meet the herd and explore the new, 21-hectare Elephant Trail at Werribee Open Range Zoo! Allow time to head out on the African savannah on the Safari Bus tour (included in entry) spotting rhinos, zebra, giraffe and more. Kids under 16 are free during weekends, public holidays and the Victorian School Holidays. Book your zoo tickets.

Play a round of mini golf
Ditch screen time for family time, with a round of mini golf by the sea at The Elements Coastal Activity Park, open on ANZAC Day from 7.30am – 5pm and throughout the weekend. Pair your visit with lunch and bay views at 3030 Waterfront, also open on ANZAC Day and across the weekend from 12pm – 10pm.

Explore the region on board the Free Visitor Shuttle Bus!
Explore Werribee and Surrounds using the free Visitor Shuttle Bus operating between Werribee Station and  attractions in Werribee Park and Wyndham Harbour. Hop on board to discover must-see attractions and explore the region at your own pace. The new trial service includes operates four days a week, Friday – Monday until 23 June 2025 including ANZAC Day.

Go to the footy!
Cheer on local VFL side Werribee Football Club as they take on the Williamstown Seagulls in this special ANZAC Day match on Friday 25 April at Avalon Airport in Chirnside Park, Werribee.

Go to an A-League match at Ironbark Fields
Cheer on Western United FC as they take on Sydney FC at Ironbark Fields in Tarneit on Sunday 27 April. With just two home games left in the season and finals on the line, the atmosphere will be buzzing!

Find the Elephants in Werribee City Centre 
Calling all explorers! To celebrate the new Elephant Trail at Werribee Open Range Zoo, there are nine playful elephants hidden in local business windows along Watton Street between Wedge Street and Cherry Street in Werribee City Centre. Enjoy a spot of shopping at Pacific Werribee
Grab a bite to eat and shop the sales at Pacific Werribee, which will be open across the long weekend including ANZAC Day from 1pm – 9pm.

Stop by the Werribee Visitor Information Centre
Need some advice on where to go and what to do? The Werribee Visitor Information Centre will be open on ANZAC Day and throughout the weekend from 9am - 5pm.

Open for lunch and dinner on ANZAC Day and open from 12.45am - 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Dining bookings highly recommended.

Open daily. Bookings highly recommended for their ANZAC Day Buffet Breakfast on 25 April from 6am.

3030 Waterfront 
Open on ANZAC Day from 12pm - 10pm and normal weekend hours.

Open on ANZAC Day 5pm - late. Open on Saturday 5pm - late and Sunday 12pm - 3pm and 5pm - 9pm.

The Park Werribee
Open on ANZAC Day from 12pm - 12am with live music and AFL matches live on the big screen. Open as normal on Saturday 12pm - late and Sunday 12pm - 10pm.

Bridge Hotel Werribee
Enjoy live music on ANZAC Day Eve (open unitl late). Open on ANZAC Day from 12pm - late. Open as normal on Saturday (12pm - late) and Sunday (12pm - 10pm).

The Social Sutra
Open from 5am - 2pm on ANZAC Day. Open Saturday 6am - 3pm and Sunday 7am - 3pm.

Karomi Lokma
Open as normal on ANZAC Day from 5pm - 11pm and Saturday and Sunday from 3pm - 12am).

Closed on ANZAC Day. Open as normal on Saturday (1pm - late) and Sunday (1pm - 7pm).

Bellissima Italian Pantry
Closed on ANZAC Day. Open as normal on Saturday 9am - 2pm. Closed on Sunday.

Closed on ANZAC Day. Open as normal on Saturday and Sunday.

The Refectory Parlour
